Kubernetes (K8s) can be confusing, but it needn't be!
Join us for a virtual meetup so we can help you make sense of it all. Our very own Developer Advocate, Quintessence Anx, will kick-off with a level-set on what K8s and containers are and a breakdown of the common concepts, before handing things over to Kat Cosgrove, Developer Advocate at JFrog.
Kat will then talk about the history of Kubernetes, the ways in which it has made our jobs easier, and what you need to start learning to use it yourself!
This is designed to be an interactive session, so we will close out with a roundtable discussion to share your thoughts on K8s and learn what your peers have to say.
Kat is a Developer Advocate at JFrog, and an actual cyborg. Her professional background has run the gamut from bartender, to video store clerk, to teacher, to software developer. She credits this wide-ranging experience for her success as a speaker, developer, and advocate. Her specialty is approachable 101-level content for junior developers or anyone else who considers themselves a newbie, with a particular focus on DevOps.
Quintessence meandered into developer relations after a long tenure in IT and operations roles. After running AWS bills up and then bringing them back down again, she brought her "lessons learned" to PagerDuty, where she is a Developer Advocate. Outside of work, she co-founded Inclusive Tech Buffalo and mentors underrepresented groups to help them launch sustainable careers in technology.
